May Activities Guide – 7 Family Activities in Perth this Month!

Perth Family Activities May 2018

The weather may be cooling down but Perth sure is staying active! There’s plenty on this May to keep everyone’s legs moving including a bunch of festivals and sporting activities.

The Bubble Brothers have done our monthly research and have picked out some great activities so everyone can make the most of the Autumn sun!

1. Mt Hawthorn Streets and Lanes Festival

Free
Sunday 6 May, 11am – 7 pm
MyattsField

There is a lot on this weekend! If you have nothing much planned, Mt Hawthorn Streets and Lanes Festival has got the whole family sorted. There will be plenty of local music and acts, markets to pick up a heartfelt Mother’s Day Gift (yes, that’s coming up this month too!), a sideshow alley, a petting zoo, and plenty more free kids activities at this exciting festival in Mt Hawthorn. Not to mention, entry is free!

2. Bickley Harvest Festival

Free
Saturday and Sunday 5 – 6 May
West Perth

If you feel like heading a little bit farther from the city this weekend, we’ve got good news for you! Bickley Harvest Festival is back for 2018! While there will be plenty of gourmet food and drink for adults, the event organisers haven’t forgotten the kids, too.

The festival hosts an annual scarecrow competition where everyone can build their very own straw friend to raise awareness and funds for Muscular Dystrophy WA. Sunday is the judging day to determine the best scarecrow so be sure to head to Myattsfield Vineyards to see who wins!

Plenty of venues are taking place as part of the festival, including Kanyana Wildlife’s Rehabilitation Centre who are opening the centre to the public for fun activities and to learn about local wildlife. If your family loves native Australian animals, this one is for you!

3. Bubble Soccer

From $35 per person
Request a time that works best for you
Anywhere… You decide!

Don’t let the thought of cloudy days stop you from getting out and about!

In fact, bubble soccer is one sport that may just be even better as the weather cools down.

The Bubble Brothers have hosted hundreds of family events and know exactly how to create fun activities for kids of any age and skill level.

4. RSPCA Million Paws Walk

$13.50 (child), $30 (adult)
Sunday 20 May
South Perth

Now this is what we mean by a family friendly event – friendly to even our furry family members! Even if you don’t have a pooch of your own, this activity is a great reason to go for a walk, pat some adorable pets, and support a great cause. While there will be so many happy puppies to say hello to, there will also be plenty to see, do, and eat!

5. HBF Run for a Reason

Congratulations everyone! 🏅🏅 #hbfrun #BeTheReason

$19 (4km) to $91 (half marathon)
Sunday 27 May
Perth

Another family activity for a great cause will be taking place on the last weekend of May. That’s right – the HBF Run for a Reason is back! While the half marathon may be for more advanced runners, there is certainly a course that the whole family can do, whether you want to run, stroll, roll, or walk! Enjoy the scenic swan river, the exciting entertainment, and of course, your medal if you complete the 4km course. Don’t forget to book your tickets for this one!

If any of these activities sound perfect to you, feel free to get in touch and let them know the Bubble Brothers sent you!

We’re all about giving the best experience possible and hope you find some fun, no matter what activity!
