Moomba Festival

When: 9th to the 12th of March, times vary

Where: Alexandra Gardens and Birrarung Marr

Melbourne’s largest free community festival is back! Visit Moomba over the second weekend of March and bask in the talents of local performers. Highlights of the family-friendly program include the Moomba Parade with its artistic, community-inspired floats as well as the wacky Birdman Rally, where competitors sport homemade flying costumes and hurl themselves into the Yarra River. It sounds like a whole lot of fun!

Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N.

When: 16th March to 22nd April, times vary

Where: Federation Square, Melbourne

If anyone in your family loves the Avengers, this one is for you. For over a month, Federation Square will be home to an immersive experience allowing spectators to dive into the Marvel Universe. You’ll be able to get your hands on Avengers props and learn about the history and science of superheroes like Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, and more!

Kids ArtyFarty Fest

When: 18th March, 11 am to 4 pm

Where: Sills Bend Warringal Parklands, Heidelberg

This one day only event gives kids the opportunity to experience and explore all kinds of arts. There will be activities, workshops, performances, games, and even food! The event will start with a parade in Heidelberg followed by a huge day of entertainment and creativity.

Good Friday Appeal Kids Day Out

When: 30th March, 10 am to 5 pm

Where: Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre

Head to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on the 30th of March for a family fun day. With free entry, plenty of activities, and opportunities to donate and raise funds for The Royal Children’s Hospital, this day is not to be missed.

Easter Egg Hunt at Blue Lotus Water Garden

When: 31st March, 11 am to 1 pm

Where: Blue Lotus Water Garden

If you feel like going for a drive out of the city, this Easter egg hunt is for you! Everyone will get to meet the Easter Bunny and Kristabell the Fairy Queen while searching for hidden eggs in the fairy garden. There will also be story time, face painting, and complete access to the entire beautiful surrounds of the Blue Lotus Water Garden, including the café and kiosk.

The Great Luna Park Easter Egg Hunt

When: 31st March, 11 am to 3 pm

Where: Luna Park Melbourne

If you’re looking for an Easter egg hunt that’s a little closer to home, Luna Park is calling all chocoholics! The first hunt starts at midday, so head there early to enjoy all the Chocolatier chocolate that you can get your hands on.
